Not a poly one though - this is an underground, just over half my height, brick lined (part way) tunnel that leads to the well head about 20 metres away.  It seems to remain at a relatively constant cool temperature, although with a damp atmosphere (surprising huh??  ).

My question  - would this be suitable for growing mushrooms in using the box kits???  There is just enough room to have some to one side as it is about a metre wide.

Too damp for storage so was wondering about mushrooms which we love but have to get from Tesco's atm.

There used to be a mushroom farm near here (until it closed because of cheap Chinese mushrooms !), who grew in old underground quarries, very successfully.
But the humble little mushroom is a lot tricksier than you would imagine 
All about temperature, hygrometry and ventilation.
But if I had a little tunnel like that, I'd certainly have a go, just for the fun.
Could use it as a wine cellar, as well.  ( Mushrooms need frequent visits  ).

you could try rhubarb in there, as its dark it would force it on nicely

In my tunnel (poly!!) I put some of the straw that we had the turkeys running on last winter complete with poop and mud in the polytunnel for my tomatoes to grow on and I'm getting quite a few mushrooms growing in there!!!

And they are normal field mushrooms too, not nasty ones!!!!
