Title: Super Harvest! Potatoes, Broad Beans, Garlic, Onions
Post by: John on July 13, 2020, 14:20
Sunday was a sunny Goldilocks day, not too hot and not too cold. So a long day outside sorting the raised beds and harvesting. Rather pleased with the results.

Great harvests  :D

I had to talk myself out of Karmazyn beans earlier in the year when you were talking about sowing them.  They are on the seed list for this winter  ;)  I overwinter my Wizard beans, but an early spring sowing of pink beans sounds good to me  8)

I used to grow Red Epicure broad beans but the Karmazyn seem to have taken the pink seeded spot from them. Very easy and very productive. Flavour is superior too, so give them a go would be my advice.

I''m getting tempted by the idea too.  Will have to see if we can get them through our association seed supplier  :D

I reckon we got about 4Kg after podding from a 10x4 raised bed. Not a bad result  :D :D

Think I've got RSI from podding them though!

Ooh yes, found them on this year's list.  Hopefully they'll be on next year's list too  :D
