Blight - First Suspected Case
« on: June 09, 2010, 08:42 »
For those of you who don't keep in touch with Blightwatch & the maps, the first suspected case of the year has been reported in Elgin, Morayshire.

I will stress that this is a suspected case at this time.

Our links to blight stuff:

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

It has been confirmed as blight in a crop, (which is unusual as it's usually in volunteer or outgrade piles where it starts).

Patch is 1 sq meter.

I wouldn't spray yet anyway, as you are no where near the outbreak, are you  :)

I'm going to close this thread off to keep things together.

Please refer to the Blight Watch thread here:

http://chat.allotment-garden.org/index.php?topic=58510.0;topicseen

We'll stress again that the only confirmed outbreak is in a small patch in the north of Scotland and there is no need for the rest of the UK to throw their arms up in the air in despair.

Not yet anyway!

We'll try & keep the other thread up to speed.
