shell-less eggs
« on: August 09, 2011, 20:21 »
Hi we had a new POL chicken last thursday. next day she laid an egg(double yolker), but this has been followed by 6 shell-less eggs, 2 per day.  Is this likely to be her just settling down and getting used to her new home?  We have made sure she has access to grit with oystershell, also baked crushed egg shell.  Is there anything else I should be worried about, or giving her?
Thanks for any help,

Hello Jade,
I am not an expert, however I would think that this is her laying equipment getting into synch.  It should settle down.
Good Luck and keep us posted
