seeded a large area 20m, which has seeded up well, but weeds are coming up too. should I mow or try to hand pick the weeds out?
Lesson learnt is do it in smaller areas first and not as one big patch!!!

When it is tall enough to start mowing that should take care of most of the weeds
Any that remain can be spot weeded out or weedkiller sprayed later when the grass is stronger.

Our lawn has a fair few weeds but after seeing next doors turn black after he tried to treat it i'll stick with my weedy lawn, at least its green.

the weeds are mainly poppies!!!, I have trimmed and have been handpicking around the edges when it is not raining... need it to dry a bit before venturing further.

It wasnt a patch it was the whole lawn, he obviously had no lawn at all

3 days later, lawn has hardly any weeds, but will be reseeded in patches with chicken wire across to stop the chickens from eating the seed!!! The grass looks alot greener than the rest of the garden.
