looking VERY tasty phil, Im going to do what you did with the containers, good timing for me reading this because Im going to order some seed spuds soon
wasnt going to try this year but you've given me the incentive :-)

Just dug up my first Charlotte's this morning. planted 20/03 - Still a bit small though. But had to have them for lunch.mmmmmmmm

we were going to dig up some of our earlies tomorrow but OH now likes the idea of giving them a grope first ... hope they are big enough for him  :thumleft: coz i cant wait to eat them with a lovely gala pie salad (radishes and lettuce  supplied by me :chef: , onions supplied by OH :chef:  and the rest supplied from the market :scratch: ) ... my mouth is drooling at the thought :D
if it grows, it grows! if it doesnt ,, ah well .. there's always next year. :-)

I dug up a few Swifts today from the sacks (not using sacks again this year, far too many beasties got in), must admit there was a few rotten ones in there, but the rest were gorgeous, had them with some broad beans, peas and spinach, all freshly picked, drowning in black pepper & butter.  Doesn't matter how much you pay for your spuds they'll never taste as gorgeous as freshly dug uns!
