Just dug up my first Charlotte's this morning. planted 20/03 - Still a bit small though. But had to have them for lunch.mmmmmmmm

we were going to dig up some of our earlies tomorrow but OH now likes the idea of giving them a grope first ... hope they are big enough for him  :thumleft: coz i cant wait to eat them with a lovely gala pie salad (radishes and lettuce  supplied by me :chef: , onions supplied by OH :chef:  and the rest supplied from the market :scratch: ) ... my mouth is drooling at the thought

Dug them up about an hour ago - "old guard" - yum!
They are in the oven now, roasting!

I dug up a few Swifts today from the sacks (not using sacks again this year, far too many beasties got in), must admit there was a few rotten ones in there, but the rest were gorgeous, had them with some broad beans, peas and spinach, all freshly picked, drowning in black pepper & butter.  Doesn't matter how much you pay for your spuds they'll never taste as gorgeous as freshly dug uns!
