Butternut squash in polytunnel

 I planted just three plants. Never again, the foliage has just about taken over my 16ft x 10 ft tunnel. The fruits are enormous, just like prize marrows. I think just one of them will last a month and there are at least eight of them that I can see with god knows how many more hiding away under the foliage. Must be all the Growmore and the rotted horse-muck is used

You are supposed to pick them small Alan, not let them grow to marrow sized!   

A few years back I grew some courgettes in my polytunnel, they did take up a lot of room, but I kept chopping leaves off, and the plants just grew along the rows of tomatoes and peppers!
