Title: Shrub / Tree ID
Post by: Aunt Sally on April 30, 2013, 16:48
Does anyone have any ideas as to what this is ?

It's an evergreen and tends to flower well an alternate years.  It's about 5 ft tall but I have restricted it's growth by keeping it in a pot.

It's not a Mahonia.

It has no perfume and the flowers are like dangling bells.  It's in full flower now.

I've lost the label and can't remember what it is :(

Vestia, or Chilean Bell Flower. It certainly has bell-like flowers

Try this one then - it's quite rare I think.
Sophora tetraptera
'Kowhai'
