Leeks should generally "stand" throught till late spring.  Perhaps post some photos so people can see what might be wrong with them.

Oops, I thought I'd replied to this, must have hit the wrong button.

Firstly I've moved the post to GYO from the Welcome forum, please pop back there and introduce yourself.

I'm willing to lay odds that it's leek noth, seems to be prevelant this year and they've hit mine.

One school of thought is to chop the leeks to ground level and let them shoot again. The harvest will be much reduced, but you'll get something, hopefully.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Nearly all mine were affected by leek moth caterpillars but I just left them and they're showing signs of recovery. The wrigglies don't seem to go deep into the leek and the leek fights back!
What worries me is where the pupae are and the probability I'll get the moth again. No point in fleecing now I reckon!
However I shall see how the leeks survive and fleece accordingly next year.
