« on: March 08, 2009, 08:44 »
hi,  after planting my fruit trees 2 weeks ago [blackcurrant, gooseberry, raspberry] i have quite a bit of room in my raised bed that they are in, was gonna drop a few shallots in there just because i had ten or so left over is this advisable???  dont want to ruin my trees.if there is any chance of that   i did hear you could mix some things up??

I don't think you'll have any problems at all.
Just make sure you sprinkle a bit of general purpose fertilizer about so both the trees and the shallots get plenty of nutrients. :)

Gwiz I note your photo. I garden in Ealing, London and almost directly opposite my plot there is a house with a blue plaque - the former home of Sid James!
If you can't be an excellent example be a terrible warning...
