totally agree! too many of us take the supermarket for granted! i would like to be able to keep pigs in the same way but our allotments wont allow it. is there a way round their thinking?

The problem allotments have with keeping livestock is that rules apply to all and we all know the people who take a plot on and then leave it to weed. Well, some people do the same with hens, leaving others to sort out the mess.

Some people near by daughter got together and bought some waste ground from the council at the back of their houses, now becoming an urban smallholding, No pigs yet, put goats, hens etc.
