Went down to 1C this morning, but now up to 10C. Grey with slight breeze. Feels cool and another cold night due tonight.

Looks lovely through the window until you step outside where it is not as warm as it looks.

Definitely jacket weather today. The rest of the week looks no better, but at least there is some welcome rain on the way again.

Not as good looking a day as yesterday but hardly any wind so it didn't feel so cold. I'm still shivering though!

After a warmer night was forecast, all the tender stuff was left in the greenhouse last night, and I got away with it - a minimum of 9C.
Now it's 10C and wet, that gentle drizzle that soaks you just wandering the 25ft to the greenhouse, and it looks set for the day. We really do need the rain though, so I'm not complaining - honest  :nowink:

Only 8C and it's been raining steadily since early this morning - about 10mm so far and I'm not complaining either as the forecast looks warm and dry from the weekend onwards...

Actually it's jolly cold here with an Eastern breeze that's invading my g-house so I've just closed it up for the night.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

Like most people I  plan my work depending on weather but the number of times recently, we have forecasts that have been wildly off but also useless - one from the Met office recently "The following month will have dry periods interspersed with rain, some cloud and in between the sun will shine"

David Kings WeatherWithoutTechnology is very accurate but mainly for the SE of England.

I know this is like a unicorn but has anybody found a reliable weather forecast

Sospan, the site I use for the 30 day trend in Terry Scholey on Gav's weather vids.

Not perfect, but the best I've found

Yes that's the sort of thing. Quite often you want a general indication that we are going into a wet / dry period  and you can make plans accordingly.

Then back this up with a BBC forecast. However, since the BBC moved away from the Met Office service the forecasts haven't been accurate even two days in advance.

It is quite noteworthy how accurate the amateur weather forecasters are just based on historical patterns and observing nature.

thanks again

Interesting looking at the site recommended by Pescador, that the end of May is looking to be drier and warmer with the possibility of it going into June  :)

Cold here today and rather too windy.  It has blown my newly planted Fatsia sideways in its tub.  Shall have to replant again, but better  :D  Mrs Bouquet
