origonal colour??
« on: July 08, 2010, 19:47 »
Hi from the Isle of Man.
I have a small collection of horticultural machinery and I have just started re-building a Landmaster MK1. cultivator......Engine...Villiers MK20.

Usually, I can find a remnant of the old finish hidden away to match the origonal colour which is what I have done on this one. However the colour I have found is a metallic, light blue but I always thought that landmasters were a pale, sky blue.
Can anyone help with what should be the colour?
Does anyone know where I can get any literature on this model? I've tried all my usual channels but had no luck on this occassion.

Thanks in advance. Bryan Denham.

Hello Bryan,

I wonder because this is an older machine if a word on the link posted below may find you some results..??

There is much talk of machines with Orange paint ;)....but they may just know about things blue as well.? :)

thanks for the website. I have now ascertained that it was a light metallic blue with red wheels.
There is a lot of work to do including fabricating a whole new chassis side and trying to find period pattern tyres which I believe are 3x10.
