I've read that this is caused by a virus, others say it's caused by insufficient watering.  Anyone else had any experience of it?  Should I be worried or do something about it?  I've never grown Pears before so I've not come across this kind of thing...

I get it to a certain degree every year and nothing seems to help, still fruits. This year we seem to have it on the plum and sloes too. I am beginning to think plain grass would be better

I've got something similar on my apple trees and currant bushes and in both cases there are a lot of aphids inside the leaf.  Could yours be the same?

I thought there might be aphids or similar bugs inside but no, clean as a whistle.  I'll have to wait and see what happens I guess.

Same problem on my pear tree, I have been infested with aphids. I have been spraying with a home made garlic soap spray, maybe that has caused it! Although I have not seen many aphids lately but still have some curled leaves

I before leaf grows spray with disease control stuff all down stem and then I spray with organic bug control. Do this a few times over next few years while it gets going and it will be better for it.
