As John's poorly back has meant the forum lights haven't been put up - I thought I'd put them up in the shed, like we used to, when we were all much younger ::)

OK - I'll get a skip in and we will bung the lot in there and start again. What do we need? Chairs, a table, a woodburner would be good. I'll see what I can womble up from the forum basement. Who is organising the food and drink? :D

That's a good excuse for a bonfire - but, needless to say, well away from the shed :tongue2:

Oh don't worry ... I've watched Moonshiners and I know the drill ;) It is well hidden behind a manure stack so Auntie doesn't find me and tell me off for bringing the site into disrepute :lol:

I told you - I've watched Moonshiners and I have the set-up all off pat ;) Ok it is a bit wet and drippy behind the manure and under the bramble patch, but the steaming dung masks the still smoke and the odd drip in just adds to the flavour :lol:

I think I have worked out what happened. Those rednecks I got in to help with the still were deep frying a turkey. Seems having a holiday turkey disaster is something of a tradition with them ::)

I think we are ready for visitors, so the forum shed is officially open. Bring a bottle or a cake or just yourself, pull up a chair and Merry Christmas everyone :D

Anyway, if you want shed extension, dormer window in the roof and that leaky tap fixed, they could be useful ;)

Where is the shed now as I seem to remember we lost it. I've been making shortbread this morning and a couple of cheesecakes, so I'll bring them with me. :D

Last time I saw the shed it was just past the rhubarb and behind the raspberries, but MoS may have moved it to hide it from the lads. She has got all hoity toity over her freshly washed floors :lol:
I'm sure if there is hm cheesecake and shortbread on the way, she'll pop out and wave to you ;) No-one wants to miss out on those :D

Sheds need blokes, and blokes need sheds; it's a known fact!
My shed has an old tape machine in it, sellotaped to the roof, and I like playing 'Marillion' (Clutching at straws), and 'Yes' (The whole lot, especially when Bill Bruford is drumming), so when I'm out there, my shed is my auditorium...
Work that one out, in the nicest possible way...:0{

Hmmmm, not sure if that sells the idea of blokes in the shed Mr G. If you can't find it, feel free to pop in at the still though. I've got a cocktail or two going and after a few of those, you can play whatever music you want, as loud as you like ... no-one will notice ;) :lol:

Found it! We do seem to have 'better behaved gentlemen' ::) around now so we could be brave and let them in, so long as they promise not to strip down their rotavators and petrol mowers this time as it made such a mess last time and poor old Auntie's curtains were used as oily rags and she'd made such a good job of them. :D

I didn't know they were called that, Wighty, but then, what does a humble Growster understand when faced with such a formidable array of delightful ladies!
My shed is my haven, my temple, my horizon my b.. (that's enough shed similes, Growster - Ed)
And so it was ever thus, well, maybe that is..;0)

Mr. G, I'm ashamed of you, you are lowering the tone back down to where it was before. I know you weren't around then, but the lads were very naughty. Have we kept back one of those skips for the empties (we used to have to need one). What time does the party start, I need to start early now to get the war paint on (time hasn't been kind). :D

Fame will do that to a person ::) If he is being really impossible, we can send him out on bird scaring duties though. Someone needs to be patrolling the site, if we are tucked up in here.

Auntie, what can I say, has Worzel had some surgery? He's not a genial person any m ore and obviously become a bit more 'green'. We enjoyed his 'appearance' and will watch it again tomorrow, but we did both admit we loved his 'old' persona. Again I'm sat in the shed on my own, oh well, cancel the skip to take away the empties as even I can't drink that much.

I'm back from work, but not the best company. Was a bit run off my feet, so I'm already feeling like I'm about to drop off.
