I think I've got powdery mildew on my apple tree.  How is the best way to treat it?  Any help greatly appreciated.

Powdery mildew usually comes from the plant/tree being too dry. If you can source any extra water from perhaps bathtubs, waterbutts, etc, pour them over the root spread area.
You'll also need to do a spray of 1-2 tbsp baking soda to 1 litre water. Guesstimate how many litres you might need since we don't know the size of your tree. It doesn't need to be exact.

Thanks Trillium, we cut it back to years ago as it had powdery mildew, the growth came back lovely last year but this year, all the new tips are covered in the stuff.  I'll do as you suggest, will have to get the ladder out for the top half

Does the baking soda trick work for powdery mildew on courgette and cucumber plants as well Trillium?
