Can I still get carrots in?

Flippin slugs have had TWO sowings so far.  Can I still get some in or is it too late?  We're in Kent.

You'll need a fast maturing crop.

T & M "Finger Carrots", for example,  mature in 60 days & say on the packet to sow up to July.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I'm going to be sowing Parmex tomorrow so hopefully these will be ok and mature for an autumn crop.

I've also read somewhere that brussels only take 20 weeks from sowing to harvest if you want them for Christmas? Is this true anybody know  :?:

I was going to make a comment about the writer of that, but thought better of it. (Quickly checks book to make sure it wasn't John. :shock: )

My brussels were sown in April. Usually ready a bit before Christmas. Generally reckoned 28-36 weeks depending on variety.

i have just put some Autumn King in today and will be putting some more in tmw  :wink: it says on the pkt to plant in July. :wink:

I think I have a free packet of autumn king somewhere... but I'm not sure my shallow clay soil will be good enough for em... I might order some parmex.
