Hello, has anyone sown carrots outside yet. I am in York. I wanted to sow them this weekend but as we are in for another cold spell next week really not sure what to do. I have fleece I could cover them with but not sure if this will be OK.

Sorry forgot to say I have had a plastic covering on the bed to warm up the soil.

Carrot seed is cheap. Drill shallow, put plenty of seed in, and be prepared to take time thinning at an early stage.

If they come you will have early carrots. If they do not come you have plenty of time to re-drill.
