Move them to where you want them & peg them with a hoop of wire.

Then:

Move them again to where you want them & peg them with a hoop of wire.

Next:

Move them again to where you want them & peg them with a hoop of wire.

Repeat until one of you gives up.

My money's on the pumpkin.

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Some folk shout at them, point and wave a big stick, but a better way is to put small sticks into the ground to guide them in the right direction.  ;)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older

Thats where the sweetcorn stems come in handy  ;)
I plant mine at the edge of the sweetcorn block and point the pumpkins up and down the rows

Mine are heading into the sweetcorn and will then will be in striking distance of my wifes broccolli, outflanking the courgettes on the way....it's like blitzcrieg all over again.

It depends on what you want to train your pumpkins to do. You can get them to do all kinds of tricks with a few treats and a clicker and a little patience.

I am working with a particularly stubborn but beautifully formed Butternut Squash to get up and water itself in dry weather but the going is a slow process.

I have to smile.  I've been trying to pursuade my squashes and pumpkins to behave and they were winning.  Glad it's not just me.  I've now started pinching them out but I'm having awful problems trying to work out which fruits belong to which plants as they've intermingled somehwat.  I hope I've counted right!
Mine are even growing through the rabbiit proof fence - I keep having to hoik them o ut of the chicken wire... and they're growing up it too. If they keep doing that I'll have to put in more uprights or they'll pull it all down.

I'm sure fighting triffids would be easier.
Lotty holder since Aug 09... I've FINALLY finished clearing it! On with the p.lanting  ....

I've tried asking nicely, positive discipline  :tongue2:, shouting and this morning will be snipping.

I did warn them... (eye nerve twitching furiously)
My music teacher was right. If you have to make a mistake, make it good and big and loud; with a bit of luck people will think that it was always meant to be like that.
