Title: Cheap Swoes
Post by: DD. on May 07, 2012, 15:35
For Wyevale garden club members.

Wilkinson Sword swoes at Wyevale. Half price £14.99, instead of £29.99.

Mrs Digger's just bought me one as a belated birthday present, so I can keep one at the plot and the other at home.

They are good quality tools too. I love mine. Might get myself another one at these prices.  Mind you keeping one at home is risky. My new rake has been snapped in half by some clumsy oaf, who shall remain nameless, but needless to say is not me

Mrs Digger also insisted on buying me a top notch watering can and an expensive pair of gardening gloves to mark the occasion - also GC offers.

Bill came to £61 instead of £107, so we were both chuffed! Best % saving was on the swoe, though.

Apparently we now have a Wyvale in the locale. I think a trip out in the car with Mr CQ is in order.  I'll tell him we're off to an exhibition of tool boxes  8)

When they first came out, they were piced at a premium, and my dad was chuffed to bits with his - which is now mine, and it's in constant use these days.

That seems a great price DD; nice one!

I shall have to investigate -- wonder if there are any left?

That's the trouble with going to family weddings and having to stay away over the weekend --- miss the bargain swoes

Thanks to this thread I am now the proud owner of a brand new but half price Swoe. I knew that gardening club card would come in handy one day. Also rescued some Toms from A&E at 50% off. Now I just have to practice swoeing become a competent swoeist.  :D

A belated thank you to DD.
We have been away since thursday, but I persuaded hubby that we needed to stop off in Wendover on our way to herefordshire
So I am now the happy owner of a half price, well travelled swoe.
