New Polytunnel.....
« on: September 23, 2007, 22:29 »
HI... I have just got a Polytunnel for the allotment (12"x7"x7"). I probably wont set it up until after winter. I'm looking for ideas on what to plant in it next year.

Any ideas, other than:
Tomatoes
Cucumbers
Early Lettuce
Late Lettuce
Chillies
Sweet Peppers
Melons
Aubergines

Thanks
   GAZ

I'd squeeze two in.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

By the time you've got that list of yours in there, you won't have much room for anything else Gaz, My tunnel is 24ft long and 20ft wide, but it still isn't big enough!  Half of it is tomatoes, then along the other side I have my cucumbers, melons, pepers, chillies and this year I tried peas and runner beans in there too.  They have done well, but at the moment, I have got some perpetual spinach and carrots just growing, and once the tomatoes have finished, I'm putting some little leeks in to see what they do!!!

Hi GrannieAnnie,

Im putting my tomatoes and cucumbers in a seperate greenhouse so will have plenty of room in Polytunnel for other stuff. Looking for any ideas. Also, any advice on looking after / caring for tunnel, and any other general advice / experiences from fellow allotmenteers.

Cheers
