I use multipurpose for everything - with a bit of vermiculite on top
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

depends what you want to do predominantly, seedlings or bigger plants

 i would always go with John Innes.
If it wasn't for chemicals we'd be organic.

  thanks for the replies so far.im looking to give my veg seeds and my flower seeds the best chance of germination and bring them on with a one bag does all mixture.

Ditto. Best I've tried, not everybody's take on it is the same quality though. :lol:

Important thing is that it is not rich for seedlings and you don't get disease with which can happen with cheap compost.
