I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

It's amazing when you think how people's perception of rhubarb has changed: it used to be a staple in every garden and kids hated it.  Then it went out of fashion.

Now it's back in the supermarkets at a "HOW MUCH??" price - around £2 for about 4 or 5 stalks.....

We've always had rhubarb in the garden - stewed, crumbled, jammed (on its own or with ginger - or cloves ifyou don't like ginger), and so on - but I wouldn't pay that price for it.

It grows well & isn't fussy about soil but is grateful for horse manure at intervals, can be harvested from April through to July/August and fills the months until the summer/autumn fruits are available.  In fact, we're planning to get another couple of crowns!
