lots of shops sell it at stupid prices so why not speak to a farmer and get a couple sacks of barley and wheat with maybe a sack of maise ,then do like i do grind it urself ....i havent got a grinder,, ohhhh yeh u have its called a blender on ya food processor  :wink:  half a pint seeds at a time n u just blitz away .  :wink:  :lol:5 stone + sack wheat £3 sack barley £2+ sack maize £4 , total wieght when processed is about 15 stone ,,watch it when ya blitzing as it can get warm . same price for shop. farm suppliers is about £30 i can blitz a sack in an hour electric is £1 or thereabouts

Cheers for that how much would you feed per bird or do you just ad lib  it ?
And how long will it store for us with only a few chucks ?

... and do we even need to grind ...   (won't the whole grains be just as good, and maybe keep longer?)

what i do is to mix full seed with my mash i make ,so its a scoop mash and scoop whole seed depending on how many birds if they finish it up quickly maker a bit more until you reach the happy medium , yes they will aggypants x. if its stored dry ,kept in a cool place it will last for 3 months or so i didnt have it lying around that long ,you can break it down as far as you wish at the end of the day psipower matey  :wink: its only what layers pellets start out as before being compressed
