Today I discovered another reason to have chickens! My back garden is very shaded and as a consequence during the winter the lawn gets covered in moss. Well today I let my chickens out to have a nice roam around and 3 hours later I found that they'd scratched at a massive patch of moss and pretty much cleared it. They've done a much better job than I can with a rake. They have been rewarded with lots of treats. Now to get them to do the rest
