I planted a peony some 3 years ago and it has never done anything, but this year it has put on the most marvellous diplay of deep cerise flowers. I am happy.

Marvellous.  I love paeonies - such a short, brilliant, flowering time  :D
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

I have peonies in my garden that came from my grandmothers yard. I realize when I see them how many memories of my grandma involve her in the garden and the plants she loved and grew.

We found two peonies in the garden under the rough scrub, the usual dark one which came and went in a short time, and a tall white one with dark pink flecks, which smells beautiful, does well in a vase and has been flowering for weeks. Very impressed.

Lovely pics  :)

I think that I planted one in a bumper pack of bulbs but they're all still putting on growth… Here's to hoping!

We moved a peony two years ago as it was swamped underneath honeysuckle on the adjoining fence, and it now flowers really well. It is the red sort like toscas photo.

There is a pale pink one still languishing in that same spot, so think I shall dig that up come the autumn, as it has stopped flowering now too.
