One normally goes to bed about 15 mins before the others, the rest go when it starts to get dark - not twilight, oh no, has to be almost completely dark before they toddle off (they are in a secure pen so just wander in or out as they please).

Went out at ten to 5 tonight and all girls and boys had already put themselves to bed (I know the clocks went back an hour but this time last week they stayed up longer than that hour)  :)
Staffies are softer than you think.

Depending on the time of year it can be anywhere between 5.30 and 9pm!  Getting them in during the summer can be a challenge!  At the moment they are in bed really early because it is dark so early  :(

Something really strange.

Since the clocks went back, some of ours are getting locked out by the auto thingy.  Can't be anything to do with the hour because it's a light sensitive one and not timed.  Just coincidence, but it's really odd.  They never done that before, apart from Pearl when she wasn't feeling well.

I think being ex batts, they are having real problems trying to fit all the days activities into the shorter day length.  They are far too busy to go to bed that early.

Will have to adjust the thingy.  I keep finding 2 or 3 of them snuggled up asleep on the ramp, and having to wake them up to put them to bed.  Thankfully pen is secure (fingers crossed) but still not a good thing to tempt Mr F.

Flowerpower136 do not forget that for the past 18months of there lives they (the exbatts) have had timed long days. They have never experienced winter.

We've only had our ladies for 5 nights, and since the clocks went back, they have toddled off before it gets dark - it was 4.30 last night!

My hens must be the weirdos.  They have been taking themselves off to bed at around 5-5:30.  Mind you, they are still awake in there at 8:30! ::)
When I die I will slide in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand and chocolate in the other, screaming, "Whooo hooo!  What a ride!" as life is to be enjoyed to the fullest!
