We dropped to our forecast 2oC last night.  Broad beans, peas, lettuce and spinach were not covered, but everything else was either indoors under lights (cucumbers, tomatoes and peppers) or outdoors under fleece (squash, french beans, etc.).

Here in Tropical Blackpool our last frost date is end of the month.
For the few extra days I won't risk it. We have been caught in the past with very late frosts.
As I have got older I have become more patient and don't rush anymore.

Here in Hampshire our normal last frost is early to mid May.
My tomatoes are in my conservatory at present and likely to stay there for a month.
If your tomatoes really have to go out make sure you have some fleece available and cross your fingers. Good luck HH
Keep digging
