Any recommendations? Looking for best for wildlife and soil but obviously also effective in terms of slug control.

I don’t use many as I also use the dried bramble twig barrier method and beer traps.

The ferric phosphate ones are OK for wildlife and soil.

Don't apply them thickly.

I don’t thank Yorker I only use 2 or three around each plant and always net anyway to stop birds, frogs etc eating the dead slugs.

A very effective organic way is 2 London or Armitage bricks linecslugs up and slam other one on top ,very effective for lily beetle to    jezza

Not caring what the neighbours think I prefer the LED torch and kitchen scissors method for the big ones , the littlies get the scissors dragged across them on hard surfaces .

For non combatant control I rate the beer trap positioned away from the crops.
