I have taken several Cornus (dogwood) hardwood cuttings over the winter and they were doing well and have leaves on them.  The problem is that some of the leaves are now dying.

I have wondered if they are perhaps getting too warm in the mini greenhouse I'm keeping them in.  Could I keep them outside instead?

Any advice, as always, gratefully appreciated.

I have found th best way of taking hardwood cuttings of hardy shrubs is to make a slit trech in the autumn and push them in about a foot deep (not buried of course  ) and then they start shooting in the Spring.... I'd move them somewhere cooler, I think

PS this works with roses too if anyone wants to know

I meant to have a go with a lovely rose I have, but forgot
