I cant see it working if you want fizzy cider. I dont think the bottles would handle the pressure. Still cider however shouldnt be a problem.

A lot of fizzy cider is in plastic bottles anyway, if you want any, just ask my eldest daughter, she drinks about 28 litres of White Lightning a week apparently!!!!

I feel exactly the same way!!!  We feel sorry for her 2 little boys and she the boys and her boyfriend live with her boyfriend's parents, and believe me life ain't easy for them either!

But I digress, at least with a plastic bottle, you haven't got to worry about the cork flying out like my wine did one year!!!!!   :?  :?

I use plastic 'pop' bottles for my home made cider. Just make your cider by whatever method you choose, then once cleared, decant into plastic pop bottles and prime with 1 tsp sugar per litre of cider. Put somewhere warm for a few days, I usually leave it for a week, then chill. You end up with a little sediment in the bottom of the bottle, but I use 1l bottles and have a 1l stein that was bought for me one birthday. This way I get to pour in one go leaving the sediment in the bottom of the bottle.

If you don't have access to loads of apples to obtain your juice, you can use carton juice from the supermarket. Just search for turbo cider on the net. It is so easy and tastes lovely.

Cheers
