When are people or have some already planted them in unheated greenhouses? Mine are huge so far but not sure whether to risk them yet
-
Do you have a thermometer in your greenhouse?
They need a minimum overnight temp of 10 degrees C.
-
Yes, but problem is I'm not down there at night. During the day its been 60-80F
-
You need a minimum - maximum thermometer whci will show you how cold it is at night. They're cheap enough to buy ;) or keep an eye on a local weather station.
Down here in the 'souf' I planted my tomatoes out in the borders yesterday, but have rigged up polysheeting which I can use to cover over the plants on cold nights.
The aubs and peppers are still indoors as they like it even warmer, I reckon ;)

My peppers, chillies, aubergines & tomatoes have been in an unheated, homemade greenhouse with loads of holes ::) since 19th March and are fine. Potted them on to bigger pots a while ago and will put into final position in grow bags shortly

I was tempted with sticking mine out but they will still sulk as my big one will show you. It started t sulk been left in the outside porch. I personally would hang on a little while (if you can)

Some of my tomatoes have been in a unheated greenhouse for over a month now and are doing well. The smaller ones are still inside along with chilli's and my dinky aubs. However, my neighbour has already planted some chilli's and aubs outside and they seem to be doing ok.

I've had aubs and chillis in a tunnel for a month without problems. Now the weather has improved we are making progress with flowers on the chillis.
I murdered the Jalapenos by putting them inside a propogator inside the tunnel. This was okay until the sun came out for a couple of days.
They were drier than salt and vinegar crisps.
Hangs head in shame.
