runner bean addiction - help!
« on: January 02, 2009, 19:29 »
I've just used the last tub of frozen runner beans    I have to wait a long while before i can eat my favourite veg again.

Has anybody grown the bushy type runner beans? Hestia i think they're called. Was wondering if they were worth growing early in a tub in the g/house.  :cherry:

I like the French beans myself. The ones I grew last year were Blue Lake.B ut I woul'dt grow them with runner beans again, because they all got tangle up. I have just look in my seed catalogue and hestia can be grown in a pot.But the early cropper is called Kelvedon Marvel. That Kings seeds.

I have grown hestia in a pot and they croped fairly well. However, they did not work well inside and still need to be pollination I think.
