:wub:I have 3 pekin bantams and 2 pekin cross i know ones definately male and he started to crow 3 days ago. I know ones definately a hen. But im confused by others. The other pekin bantam has comb and waffles but smaller and not as bright as cock bird.

I also have a mother bird bigger with chicks brought her with them 8 weeks ago so there prob about 10 weeks old.

how do i tell what she is also what chicks are think 2 are hens one definately cock bird others not sure????

need help new to chicken keeping and im loving it grew up with grand parents with chickens and always wanted my own cant wait to see an egg in coop......

more picts now worked it out been so frustrating 

what are these chickens need to know what breed they are and i think the young black one in picture is cock bird hes only 10 weeks old

It's hard to tell from the photos really but I think photo number 2 and 3 are the cockerels.  Lovely chickens though.

I'll have to let others discuss the breeds.

Hmm... all the birds I can see the heads of in pics 1 and 2 are almost certainly cockerels.

Pekin pullets/hens have very small neat combs and wattles

milliemoo dont wont tell you all three top pictures have cockerels only one not sure about is top picture of bottom two can't make out if hackle feathers are rounded or pointed

I thought pekins had feathered legs.

they do have feathered legs but. the amber one is peking cross
