If its of any interest we have been trying a garlic mix to control the dreaded caterpillars and aphids on our brassicas this season as this is only on a trial basis its turned out quite well we haven't had as many caterpillars or aphid damage but i think i need to spray on a more regular basis because i only sprayed on a two week cycle but i think it would have been better to spray on weekly cycle I've tried 2 mixes 1 garlic mix and garlic and chilli mixed with adding sugar and liquid soap making the mix with hot water and then leaving the mix to cool down overnight before spraying both garlic and chilli where of the powder format

I'm also looking at trying nemasys [ fruit and veg pack] next season for controlling the carrot fly has anyone out there used Nemasys for controlling carrot fly this season and if so how did you rate it
