I think it might be

Are you growing them right in front of that window?  Are they very warm?
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Its a cool window ledge, in partial sun and shade.  That tall was a freak one, as I have two other sweetpea pots and they aren't like that, still small.

You may find that it is a rouge seed that was already in the compost. :tongue2:

I have had a couple of these so far this year where something has popped up in the pot.

You know today I had a ponder.... I was out and about and checked on B&Qs plants.  they had a tray of sweetpeas for £1.50, and I thought why am I sowing?  they were much further on and established.  Just curious why people do it when sometimes they are so cheap to buy.

Have a look at what I posted 5 years ago!

Only thing is with GYO you get a better choice of varieties.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

True - but you get your choice of variety, probably more seeds in the packet than the tray, and the satisfaction of doing it yourself!

But I have bought sweet pea seedlings myself when my own ones haven't worked for whatever reason, or I haven't got round to them.

When can sweetpeas go in an unheated greenhouse?  In fact when can any of the container annuals go in a cold frame or unheated greenhouse.  I have some small sunflowers and nasturtums, pansies, lobilia just starting, and looking at all the plug plants everywhere at Aldi, BQ etc, some of these are outside all day, under roof cover but still outside?  Just pondering again.....
