pol hen 'bending down'
« on: September 13, 2011, 18:33 »
hello ,my bluebell is the only one of my girls laying for me so far. I was smiting their mites tonight and when I went to pick her up, she stopped running and bent down with her wings out........what is that all about? was she scared? it made it very easy to handle her but did was she terrified?

anyways she is very chatty otherwise and is definately the head of the brood.  8)

mother of 2 human children, 1 Merlin cat, 2 Lionhead Lops, a R.I.R , Buff Orpy, Light Sussex, Bluebell and  Speckeldy.

Most definately getting ready for the cockerel! Bending down or "bobbing" is a sure fire sign she's coming to maturity.
