hi needed some advice on moving a hosta as it has gone too big ,Can i move it now or wait till it has died down and move then it then any help please

I'd wait till it has died down, then split it during the winter (sometime when it isnt frosty).  Replant the sections and you will have multiple hostas.   :D  Aka slug buffets.  >:(

I usually split them at this time of year because I can see where they are.  They are also a bit ugly at this time so it doesn't really matter what kind of mess you make splitting them, they always come good next year.
