Sweetpea Germination
« on: May 04, 2015, 18:18 »
Hi All,
Today I've sowed some Sweetpeas in pots and have left them outside to germinate.
I haven't got much space indoors now (but could find some if deffo needed). Will they germinate outdoors at this time of year?

Thanks for your advice.

I'd say so yes - would be round about the time to direct sow sweetpeas. I'm no expert though as I always start mine off in an unheated GH.

I do the same as Balders and sowed some about a month ago. Most have since germinated despite the rather cold weather we've had up here. I even had a rogue seed that germinated about six weeks ago in last year's sweet pea barrel. My sugar snap peas are also sprouting oputside, so I'd go for it.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.
