Water Restrictions & Animals

Does anybody know how a potential hosepipe ban will effect those of us who by necessity have to fill ponds etc for ducks  

I fill twice a day in hot weather and use the mucky water for my plants so nothing goes to waste. With the number of ducks I have refilling two plastic ponds twice a day when it is warm is necessary and in the event of a hosepipe ban I am very worried how it would effect this. The restrictions usually effect filling plastic paddling pools - which is what I use as ponds, but surely they can't have in mind when they are used for animals who require water?

I've tried googling and can't seem to find an answer and may even email the water company in the event of a ban for clarification, but thought I would first ask those on here who have kept ducks during previous bans about what they did/could do  

if anybody does complain then you will have to resort to filling a bucket several times over Cara (works out the same amount of water just takes longer  ) 

Please don't put kitchen waste water into a pond.

Sorry, I forgot to say the grey water is for watering, goodness not for the ducks. Apologies.....oops!!!
