here my new run at new house with 8 novobrowns
hope to do a deep litter run so as to save work /time/money
also more wire to deter rats but have good air rifle :)
pull up food at night
plenty garden waste for deep litter (grass ?? mine bowling green sort so wil keep a knecks lenth away in a raised bed
will get another plastic coop when i come accross another  cheap 1
80% roof covered with perspex
any issues spotted ?? any help greatfull

You need ear defenders, I know that much. If you think cockerels are loud......

But you do get used to the sound if it's not just outside your window. Same as sealions and tigers..... :lol:

They are only really noisy in the breeding/rearing season. April to September. I don't mind the noise, and have conversations with Arthur!!
They can be kept in a large aviary. Peafowl can fly well, but generally prefer to walk!! Mine are only penned in to protect the chicks until they can fly . They roost high up in trees in all weathers at night, although they have a shelter they sometimes use in the day.
It's usually recommended to keep new birds enclosed for a few weeks until they know where home and food is, and then they don't tend to wander to far away.
 :nowink: No, the young are not really called chickpeas, but it's as good a name as any!
