Hi guys ive been trying to make a small orchard at the top of my allottment now my burning question is
Can you move apple trees that have started budding now cus my uncle has offered me 3 about 5ft high to transplant but we are not sure if we can move them now

Help
I thought life was all rush then i got a allotment and i now love to just relax

IMO You'd still get away with it, cos you can still order them up till 31st march.
Just try to lift as much soil with the roots as you can.
They may sulk for a while but as long as you keep them watered they should be ok.

I've done as mumofstig suggests and mine made it. Water the root area well before digging (if its not already damp) so that the 'mud' sticks to the fine roots better and dig out the root ball size that you can see. The first year of transplanting will require lots of regular watering but next year you can ease back as the roots will have established by then. Have the new planting holes ready with lots of old manure or compost and some bone meal, and water the hole before putting the new tree in.

It's not the best time of year but if you try to take as big a root ball as possible and wrap it in sacking or tough polythene tied tightly to prevent the soil from being disturbed during transport you will probably be successful.  Make sure to water really well throughout the summer !

Stake it well to prevent the wind from losening it in the soil.
