That's because the hardy folk of Yorkshire have scared off the virus!  :D

Seriously, they're opening centres and GP surgeries as fast as they can.

Lancaster Uni have doing them prior to Christmas for some of the local GPs.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

A few places are vaccinating, I suppose it just depends where you are on the list, and if the vaccines arrice. Does your GP have your phone number so they can get in touch easily?

Hello I've just heard that the new vaccination centres are open, there isn't one in Yorkshire

There's to be one at Leeds United, and one at Huddersfield stadium. Both in West Yorkshire. I don't expect there to be one in North Yorkshire.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Did anyone see the clip on the news where they were interviewing a pensioner about getting vaccinated? She was offered a jab at either of her 'local' sites - one 60 something miles away and the other 70 something (IIRC) She answered that her mobility scooter only did 4 miles per charge!
I know it's a serious situation, really -  but it just cracked me up

It’s such an enormous task that there are bound to be a few problems.  Far better to focus on the amazing success of producing, manufacturing and distributing a vaccine in under a year.

And the UK was the first in the world to do it.

The Welsh government publish a map showing the current vaccination points which they are intending to update as more places come onstream.

The plan (subject to supply) is to get everyone over 70 and frontline workers done by mid-February with all adults offered a jab by the Autumn.

If you think it through the priority list for distribution makes sense. Without doctors and nurses able to function we're going to be in a very bad way. Then protect those most at risk which will not just reduce deaths but also pressure on the NHS

I'm expecting we'll get done in early March and have some level of immunity 3 weeks later. The next crunch is going to be second doses but they have 12 weeks to get ready. I'm sure they will be.

I'm booked in for mine tomorrow at 5 past 5, it's quite a long bus journey, with a change, to get there though.
Mask, gloves and sanitiser required for the journey methinks  ::)

What you need is a full NBC suit!

Aren't you scared that Bill Gates has put a chip in vaccine and will be tracking you? Or that you will turn into a monkey when you get home?  :D

I'm afraid if you have a mobile phone, they already know everything about you including tracking. There's no hiding place or privacy

Looks like we've got a centre in Caernarfon which is just 5 miles or so from us. :)
When they call we'll be there as fast as cat when you open a tin!
