Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I'll start then...................

3 bags of Muphy's multi compost quite fluffy with the odd twiggy bit, so I'll sieve it for the tiny seeds. Tomatoes and sweet peas didn't seem to mind them, though  :)

It feels quite peaty, although the packet doesn't give the peat ratio.

I actually bought it last year but it's for this season. I got Murphys MPC from CPL Distributions, and it'll get used for pretty much everything.

ETA: I got nine bags on special offer (think it was 3 for 2 or some such)

4 bags of westlands with john innes on a buy 1 get 1 free offer at mole valley farmers.
It feels and smells lovely, no plastic or twigs just nice and fine, good for seeds i would say, it seems to hold moisture pretty well too, with no signs of crusting over.

Please can you tell us what the compost is like - rather than just what you've bought so, that others can decide whether to buy it themselves  ;)

The murphys from CPL is, as you've said above, quite good, not too bitty. I've got toms, peppers, chillies and onions going in it so far.

Feels quite peaty.

I have bought 3 x 60L of B&Q Verve after reading the 'Which' report on compost for last year. I am very happy with it so far, it seems good quality. They cost £10 for 3.

Please only post about compost you have actually purchased this year and whether it appears to be good quality (or otherwise.)

The quality of bought composts has been very inconsistent in the last few years so we need opinions about the most up-to-date samples for this thread to be of any value.
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

The thing is I often bulk buy mine in autumn, so by the time I've tried it and you've asked about it, it'll be next year.

I buy J. Arthur Bowers Multi Purpose Compost 100 ltr bale about £6 BOGOF. Used it for last 5 years good compost.

For seed sowing I use it on the bottom and cover the seeds with seed compost. That way you don't need as much expensive seed compost

New Horizon Multi-purpose as I was so pleased with it last year - good, even mix.  Also same brand Garden Compost, which i am using for mulching one of my borders - ok for that, but I wouldn't use it in pots as too 'woody'.

So far this year I have only bought a 125L bale of B&Q Verve.  It is quite soft and breaks up well, however it does have quite a large proportion of "larger" pieces/twigs in it (certainly compared to the Clover brand I bought last year).  I have sieved for sowing seed, hopefully it will be ok but only time will tell!

3 bags of violet farm with added John innes 60ltr  bags £12 from local GC seems ok upto now .
Also 2 dumpies of vegi gold from compost direct which is a bit coarser than I was expecting but fit for purpose on topping up raised beds .
I cook therefore I grow
