hi to all,i am going away soon for a week,i have just potted some toms,i have put the pots in larger pots which i have half filled with water,has any one tried this?or will it work or just waterlog the plants,thanks.

Hmmm I'd be tempted just to put them in a cooler room for the week so they don't need watering. It might set them back a little but I don't think over watering and then drying out completely is wise

I would think you would be better sitting them on damp capilliary matting with a wick into a bucket of water. That will keep them watered with out it being too much or too little
