This was everywhere around our garden and they seem to be shallow rooted. Pretty little pink flowers, but, I get the impression they maybe a bit of a nuisance.

Herb Robert. I think it is a weed but others might not. :)

I believe you have cranesbill, aka perennial geranium.

Quite a nice one too mixed in with forget-me-not.

Cut it back a little after it flowers and it may well bloom again.  ;)

It will keep coming back. I quite like it and 'allow' it in my garden. It is very easy to pull out where you don't want it, so it doesn't bother me.

I leave it to flower in the garden and then pull it out, straight into the compost

A few come up at the plot afterwards but they come out immediately, or I'd be over run

I agree Herb Robert, a wild flower - but I'd definitely pull it up now or after it flowers otherwise it will self seed like mad!

Herb Robert is a welcome visitor in my home garden, adds to the cottage garden feel. I don't mind a bit of red campion either, although it roots deeper and can become a pest if not kept on top of.
Breaking new ground.............literally!

Defo Herb Robert.  If it appears in my garden it gets short shrift and is classed as a weed.  If allowed to establish it can develop quite a big tap root (similar to a dandelion) and for that reason alone I tend to whip them out.

Poor old Herb Robert... got itself into the wrong place.  :(

If it's a geranium it ought to be given a fighting chance.  ;)
