Hello everyone! I have nabbed a large corner of our garden (well 2 corners if you count the chickens! so to speak) and have 2 raised beds with loads of veg, runners, carrots, lettuce, pumpkins, beetroot and loads of tomatoe plants (sowed whole pack of seeds and couldnt bear to throw and seedlings away! now have half a ton of toms!!!!!)and we have just retired our cucumber plant which was in the conservatory and gave us in excess of 30 cucumbers!!! the thing is my first sowings of beetroot are still small but the second lot ive sown are 3 times as big? (same seed packet) will the first sowings get any bigger now or should i just pull them up? they have been in the ground since May and we have had e few of the largest ones.
thinks her guardian angel`s gone on strike !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thinning is a definite for beets. If you've thinned them and in a few weeks they're still not larger, then pull them.
