hi.

need some advice. i've had some asparagus plants delivered and it looks like they have mould on them. i'm not sure if this is normal or anything to worry about as asparagus is new to me.

i have sent a message to the seller so will see what they say, but nice to have others opinions.

there should be some pics attached, i'll try and get some better ones tomorrow.

Yes, IMO  money back or non-mouldy replacements required!

On a slightly different note, did you not grow any from seed last year in the end?

I had some crowns delivered over a bank holiday last year and then had to keep them for several days before I put them in and they had some mould on them by the time they went in. However they did all take and ended up with ferns growing throughout last summer.  Even so get some new ones if you can.

yes and no. lol.

i did grow some but really struggled to germinate the seeds. i do have about 10 plants in pots that i managed grow, not sure how good they will be.

looking back i wouldn't bother from seed again. hence now brought some crowns to fill the bed.
