I don't mind the thread taking a few turns here and there, it is chat after all.   :D

Yes I have managed to get a turkey crown.

Bootsy and Snudge are merrily tucking into their finishers pellet not knowing the quicker they fatten up ............ well you know what I mean.

Ignorance really is bliss in this case I think

At least when they do go, you will have the satisfaction of knowing they had a good life in your garden :)

I would have happily swapped for the turkey crown was stringy.   :(  Never had that before, the rest of the meal was delicious even if I do say so myself.  Fingers crossed Bootsy and Snudge are better than the turkey crown.

Don' t worry, booties and smudge will taste like heaven after you commercial bird.  Make sure you pull the Windows out of the . legs when you process your 2.  The dark meat will taste much better.  It is something most of the commercials don't bother with as its easier to just chop the feet off!

I've never heard of this. What exactly are these Windows?

Oh goodness.  I did it on my kindle last night and didn't notice it had put its own word in!

What a wally I am not to read through it!

Yes, meant sinews!  Before Brian had his sinew puller, he used a rake which he attached to the wall and jammed the foot in the rake tines and pulled the foot off and the sinews come out too.  Just cut around the ankle joint first to break the skin.

Surprising what a difference it makes.

Sorry again for auto correction thingy on kindle!   :( :( :(

  That's technology for you.  Will have a go at that, managed it with young cockerels but it will be tougher with turkeys no doubt.

:D :D :D Okay, now I know what you mean. For a while I felt left out in the back field not knowing about Windows in turkey legs.  :D
