someone has laid an egg with no shell and not yoke, its just got the membrane bit holding it together. I had one like it last week as well. I've had soft shells, but not no shell.
-
is she new to laying shazzer
-
Yes i have two hens that have just started laying
-
then i wouldnt worry hun, she's just learning.
im sure they will be just fine, once her little body got the hang of it.
make sure they have access to oyster shell, and nature will put it all in place x

I have put oyster shell in before but they didn't seem to bother with it all all, I'll put some in again, Thanks
-
leave it out for them all the time, they will just help themselves as and when they need it. like they do grit
just a little tub

I had a couple of these 'membrane' eggs last week as well, from a hen who has been laying for months. Perhaps it was the earthquake :? .
